I'm pretty picky about video quality, so I tested Okioto extensively. Most videos are available in multiple resolutions: 480p (free), 720p (free with occasional ads), and 1080p+ (premium only).

The encoding is solid – I didn't notice any major compression artifacts even at 720p. Colors look natural, and the bitrate seems high enough to avoid that blocky pixelation you see on lower-quality sites.

Loading times are fast, even for HD content. They're clearly using a good CDN. I streamed from both US and European servers without buffering issues.

One minor complaint: some older content is still in lower resolution (360p-480p max). But newer uploads are consistently high quality.
